Pentium M 735 1.7GHz
1024MB RAM (1GB)
40GB 5400rpm HDD
14.1 SXGA+(1400x1050) TFT LCD
64MB ATI Radeon 9600
24x24x24x/8x CD-RW/DVD
Intel 802.11b/g wireless(MPCI)
Modem(CDC)
1Gb Ethernet(LOM)
UltraNav
Secure Chip
Fingerprint Reader
6 cell Li-Ion battery
Windows XP Professional

BTW, i will mainly use this for games, movies, and sometime office work. is this enough? i will be happy as long as i can play a game w/out lag. Because this is my first laptop, i really need some suggestions.

thanks in advance!!!

It sounds like enough to me but then I'm typing this on a 770. Seriously, it really does, and I am.

You will be hard pressed to notice any performance difference between 1.7 and 1.8.

Your best performance upgrade on this system would be to get a Hitachi 7200rpm hard drive. Either the 7K60, or better yet, 7K100.
Apathy is on the rise, but nobody seems to care.

I'd upgrade to the 60gb 7200rpm HD. I have pretty much the exact system + the 60gb 7.2k rpm HD and I LOVE it.

get the 740 1.73
for couple of cents more you get bigger bus and newer chip!!!
i belive its the first one to come out with some sort of technology which fights with software hanging issues, i personally dont completly understand what it is but sounds cool anyway!!!!
