Duo core CPU from Intel in Laptops Now

During the recent CES show, a no. of laptop manu. are showing off their duo cpu laptops, particularly from IBM, Dell, Acer Fijitsu, etc.

These laptops are blazing fast, I want one!!!! I think it will still be expensive for a while, even the Acer model, 8204, is currently selling at about US$2700.

It maybe good news for those who do not buy current technology equipment. Very soon, 6-12 months the price of T42 will drop to a level when I can get one...less than $1000 maybe even be $800, refurbished. To be able to get it at this price is a steal...

Actually, if you look around eBay, you can find some pretty good deals on Thinkpads; as some Forum threads can tell you. I have seen some T40s, T41s, and even one T42 from around $900 that way.

But an Acer at $2700? I would rather go with the T60 if I had to get Dual Core; yet, right now, it is only at the "lower end" of the Future T60 lineup. It is still somewhat expensive though.

And what about the X60? That is actually pretty cool for an X Series model as well.
