T42p Gigabyte Lan Adapter Isn't

#1 Post by WilsonF » Sat Jan 14, 2006 5:09 pm

The Intel Pro/1000 MT Mobile Connection on my TP will no longer establish 1000 mb connections in locations and with cables (CAT 5e and CAT 6) where my T42p previously did and where other laptops and PCs will. Now it will only go 100 MB.

I have attempted to revert to the original driver, with no change in performance.

Does anyone have any idea what could cause this and whether there's any solution short of sending it in for service?

Have you checked the settings on the device driver for the LAN adapter to make sure it is still set to auto-negotiate?

Cheers,

Bill
