Sent my T41 in for service: What did they replace?

#1 Post by aphex » Sat Jan 14, 2006 6:47 pm

Needed a replacment 2200bg, but i had a stripped screw. Sent it in for service and just got it back. The note along w/ the computer states;

Part Description;
Non Planar / Non Modem PCB
Planar Card
Bios/Embedded Controller Updates

Did they replace more than the 2200bg?

the planar card is actually the mainboard
so maybe they didn't ever replace your wifi card, but just the mainbord that hosts your card

Looks to me like they replaced a card that fits into teh motherboard (the 2200BG) and updated your BIOS to the latest release.

Cheers,

Bill

They replaced the card and updated the system bios and controller (re-flashed) on the motherboard to the latest release.

EDIT: Sorry Bill, it is too late at night; I should be ZZZZ and I did not see your reply until after my posting refreshed!
