Is this a defect?? New T43

When the lid is closed, and I look at th back of the computer, the space between the lid and the bottom of the machine is uneven, wider on the right (as viewed from the rear) than the right.

This is a 15" Flexview screen. (I'd post a picture but am not sure how to do so without wasting everyone's bandwith).

I have the same thing as well. I doubt it is a defect.

15" T42 here. Same thing. The gap is wider on the side with the ribbon. I guess it should be like this.
