T43 2668-4EA--Still problem with finger reader network plug

#1 Post by b:z » Tue Jan 17, 2006 2:13 am

I had T43 2668-4EA, everything works well, except finger reader (FR). FR can't work right when the cable network plug into ethernet port. If i unplug cable, restart my laptop (with no cable plug), FR can reconize exactly.

I also think about conflict software (firewall or anti virus for example), disable all, but nothing is better.

Can everybody help me to solve this problem? Is that the popular problem of T43?

Please give me your suggestion.
Thank you very much

2686-NAU here, the reader appears to function correctly with the ethernet plugged in. However, I believe the software can support a biometric server. I don't know much about it, so here's a shot in the dark theory: It's looking for, not finding, or finding one without your print, when the cable is plugged in?

God, I feel like such a newbie at the moment. That'd be my guess.

In any case, this doesn't seem to be a common problem with the T43. I haven't seen it here at all or on my own notebook. Though if I were wrong, it wouldn't be the first time. :)
First Laptop: IBM ThinkPad iSeries 1411 (2611-411) (Underpowered from day one)
Next Laptop: HP Pavilion ze5300 (Poorly Cooled)
This laptop: IBM ThinkPad T43 (2686-NAU) (PERFECT.)
