1802, 01C9, BIOS mod, please help!

#1 Post by danage » Sun Jan 22, 2006 4:44 am

Hello,

We're trying to fight the 1802 and 01C9 problems at an assembly language level over at the T30-forum and need help from someone with a T40. Could someone please confirm the following:

a) IBM Atheros based cards are supported by the T40.
Examples of such cards are: IBM 11a/b/g Wireless LAN Mini PCI Adapter I & II, IBM 11b/g Wireless LAN Mini PCI Adapter.

b) The T40 works with 3rd-party Atheros cards with no additional error to the 1802. Meaning that once you patch it with ne no-1802, there are no further BIOS errors.

Background info: With Atheros cards, the T2x-T30 give us an 01C9 - "More than one ethernet device found" error message. We want to get rid of it.

Thanks all for your support,
Danage
