Upgrading T40 processor

#1 Post by Yakuza389 » Mon Jan 23, 2006 10:19 am

Hi All,

New to this site....I have a T40 thinkpad, was wondering if I could upgrade my processor to a higher MHZ. I currently have Intel Pentium M 1.5 GHZ processor. Could I upgrade to like a 2.0 GHZ? Any advice?

thanks,

John

Yes you can. In fact I am currently running a 2.1GHz 400MHz FSB processor in my T40.

Depends on what you are doing.

Web browsing, word processing, etc it is jus barely noticeable. However, photoshop screams. :-)
