t43p audio level

Hi all. My t43p can't play very loud in the inbuild speakers, - it's suiteable for beeps and bings, - but playing a movie makes my kids yell "Turn it up, Dad!".... My T21, A31, and even the old tp600 plays signficantly louder than my t43.

It's still the preinstalled image with all the native drivers and stuff....and everything is turned way up... TP volume, Windows volume and 'source' volume...

what's your experience with this ?

I feel the same as you. Though I think it is only the problem only with movies coded with ac3. If you maximize the ac3 and play the movie with all sounds max it should be ok.

thanx.... yes I can turn up the ffdshow sliders, - but bringing them to 300 or 500% in order to get a decent audio level doesn't feel right

But thanx for clearing it up, - it's 'per design' and not a fault on my system then.
