T21: Power Mgmt Version Upgrade Disables Battery

Hi

I have mucked around with this and not resolved it so I thought I would run it by anyone here who might have interest:

I upgraded the Power Management Driver software version on my T21 to the latest version, 1.26. Since then my system has been unable to recognize the non-IBM primary battery (Battery Information application reports "Error"); this battery worked fine with my system until the software upgrade.

I have done a bunch of stuff including letting the battery completely discharge, swapping and reswapping with the original IBM brand battery, with no success.

Perhaps someone else has experienced this and knows the cause and solution. I suppose I could go back to the previous driver.

probably the new s/w version checking if it's an authentic ibm battery.... maybe rollback to the prior version is the only way....
