been waiting for it a while to buy my first thinkpad, got my quote from my IBM rep today, putting the order through on the 24th. cant wait!

My T40 is pretty much at the low end as far as T40s go, but I only use it for office work on the go, so I don't really need anything more powerful. I'll buy a new one (probably a T50 with 2d generation Centrino) in '06 when my T40's warranty runs out.

i love my R50p and will have a T42p or the like as soon as i finish reading all those darn specs..! :-)

Is it my imagination, or are the T numbers whizzing by faster than ever? Are we going to have a T50 by the end of the year?

We probably will have a T50 out by year's end due to the Sonoma chipset/platform that will debut in the fall.

model numbers matter little..
call it the T43 or the T666 it is still the same..
we all know the Q4 stuff will be a major change..
