For some reason, the "Power Management" setting inside the adapter settings is always set to the lowest setting upon reboot. If I change the setting and close the settings, then it temporarily is saved to whatever I set it to; however, it goes back to the lowest setting when the system is rebooted.
When it is on the lowest setting, the quality of the wireless connection is fairly poor and subject to more disconnects.
Does anyone have any idea why this setting would be automatically set to the lowest value, overriding whatever I had set it to? The "Use Default Value" box is not checked.
T42p 2200BG Wireless Adapter Problem
I think problems like these are related to Windows not shutting down cleanly. You can try the UPHClean service from Microsoft to see if that solves your problem.
