So I've downloaded the necessary software updates I needed to get from "Software Installer" and clicked on install. The first 6-8 went just fine, but then it got to "ThinkPad Power Management Driver" (upgrading from 1.25 to 1.32).
However, the program has been trying to "install" this driver for nearly 45 minutes now and it hasn't finished (the other ones took no longer than 1-2 minutes at the most) -- a little black bar keeps spinning beside it (to indicate that it's doing something), but that's about it. Around 5 minutes into the installation, it gave me a little pop-up that said it is not compatible with MS-DOS (something to that effect) and asked me to click "OK". I thought that would have stopped the installation but it didn't.
I can't turn the Software Installer off right now, because I'm afraid it might mess something up. What can I do?
Thanks for your time.
P.S. I have a T23 if it makes any difference
