wireless hardware isn't detected on t42

I have a t42 which suppose to come with wireless build in, but there's none, there is however a led (looks like an antena)which is always turned off. I heard that there's a patch which activates the wireless hardware..

Any ideas??

Have you tried pressing Fn + F5 to enable wireless in Windows?

What shows up when you go to: Start > Connect To > Show all connections, under LAN or High-Speed Internet?

In addition to the other replies, look in Device Manager to make sure you have a wireless NIC installed and operating. ... JD Hurst

one oddy i found with t42 is that if you have bluetooth, it is not listed anywhere, including bios and device manager, until you use access connections and turn it on.

Yeah, I noticed that whenever I turn bluetooth on windows redetects it as new hardware.
