And straight to the point. I have an IBM T43 notebook (it is my first notebook
Later on I have brought and installed additional 1GB of RAM (IBM Made) into my system's empty RAM slot at the bottom.
So the total RAM installed should be 1,5 GB, and it was for many months, until recently.
Couple of days before, I have noticed, that system shows 1GB of RAM, interesting huh, I thought, maybe a Windows error !?
But later on I decided to check one more time, and surprise surprise - 1 GB of RAM according to Windows System Information, PC Doctor, which came with my system, but more astonishing is that BIOS also shows that I have 1 GB of RAM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What ???!!!!
It seems to me that probably something is wrong with 512 RAM stick, maybe it is even dead or sort of. Any suggestions what might be the problem?
Once I have seen information about what is installed in the first RAM slot and the second one, but this time I could not find it, maybe it was in PC doctor or Access IBM software, can you please provide me a clue of there else I can look for this kind of info!
I had an idea of pulling out a 1GB stick, and see what happens, but it came in so painfully last time during the installation
Seems it is time to visit IBM Service Center, one more time
Best Regards
Aleksandr
