Slight bulge at the Access IBM key?

I noticed that the part where the Access IBM keys and the volume keys are and the area directly above that aren't exactly "flat." There is a little bit of a bulge.

Are they all like that, or is this a problem that I should get Lenovo to fix?

I own a T41p and a brand new T43. Neither show a "bulge" there.

But I haven't tried using a cucumber.

Seriously -- the bulge isn't normal, if it bothers you talk to Lenovo.

If I lay a straight edge just above or below the buttons (Access, up/down volume), it will not lay completely flat, so the surface of the button panel is very, very slightly convex on the left side. It's not readily discernible by the eye.
