How often do you update your drivers?

#1 Post by kjarrett » Sun Jul 18, 2004 7:55 am

With my T21, I would update any driver on the matrix as soon as it showed up as new. I just got my T30 and am wondering if I should continue this practice.

Case in point: there is a new video driver out. Changes:

(Fix) LCD refresh rate does not return to the original refresh rate in AC mode when 'Lower LCD refresh rate' is enabled in Battery MaxiMiser.

I checked, and I don't use 'Lower LCD refresh rate' in any of my power save modes.

Thoughts?

I rarely check as IBM doesn't update the video drivers very often and that's the only thing I really care about.

I try to avaoid updating unless it is to repair and the new driver offers increased performance.

Always a chance that something could go wrong.
