Bah, spilled OJ on my T40 yesterday...
I actually only spilled the OJ on the touchpad and buttons for the touchpoint. At this point the touchpad works but the buttons do not. The buttons for the touchpoint are also not working and my spacebar is sticking.
I took the palmrest and keyboard off and it looks like I'm going to need a new keyboard and touchpad. Does anyone know what these will cost to replace? I was looking at the parts list and it looks like I have to get a replacement palmrest as the touchpad is included with it. I seriously doubt IBM is going to cover the replacement under warranty.

The palmrest is $28.50 and it looks as if the keyboard runs $55.75 now.Hostile wrote: I took the palmrest and keyboard off and it looks like I'm going to need a new keyboard and touchpad. Does anyone know what these will cost to replace?

I don't remember, is there anyway to check? I generally don't go for extended warranties though...jonathanlee wrote:If you purchased the thinkpad protection services from IBM they will cover accidental spills.

yeah, you can go to the ibm website and type in your serial number and it'll show the warranty on the system. Here's the link:
