Finally T43 is coming..

#1 Post by Tungo » Fri Feb 10, 2006 7:28 pm

Hello everyone,

I would to thanks everyone for this great forum. After using the T22 for almost 4 years, I've decided to get another Thinkpad. I've read most of the posts here regarding the pro/con of the T42/T43, and I've decided to get a T43. It was my lucky day because Lenovo has a few T43 on sale, so I went ahead and order the 2668-92U for 1699.00. Now I have to wait for 2 weeks!!
The T43 will mainly be used for VS.NET, SQL Server, Photoshop and occassionally some games. I think this T43 should have plenty of power for my development needs.

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.

Believe me, it's a good choice.

Your T43's work is so similar with mine.

Thanks guys. My T22 has been faithful companion for the last 4 years. It has been with me through some tough school works, countless presentations and senior project , and now to replace it with the T43 make me feel kind of sad!
I kept my T22 rather well. Not a single scatch.. anywhere. It still looks like the day I took it out the box, and I still have the box. IBM did a great job with the Thinkpad. I just hope that Lenovo will do the same for years to come!

Your T43 is just like your T22 in that if you take good care of it, it will hold up well.

Lenovo said 2 weeks for mine as well (2687-e8u, CTO). I ordered on Sunday and got the unit in my hands on Friday - less than a week. Not bad

don;'t sell or throw away your old t22.
i don't know if it's got the security chips on it, but i find many of the old laptops to be a alternative candidate as a data backup solution. of course, zero your hard drive and fresh install xp first
