How to remove clear plate indicator?

Hi, anyone know how to safely remove the clear plate indicator, located on the top the the ThinkPad, (with the lid closed). It is that small black piece of plastic that has icons of the Bluetooth, Battery, and Standby indicator on it. It is scuffed on mine, and I would like to change it myself. Not sure how it got all scratched up, since I am very careful with my laptop.

i used a sewing needle to pull it up. its just a sticker and comes up nice and easy
