Hibernate with fan on !!!

#1 Post by CoolDragon » Mon Feb 13, 2006 4:02 pm

Just tried hibernating my machine (see sig), and found that the fan is still rotating (with really low speed)!

This is really funny, don't know if it is a bug or feature.

Are you sure it is the fan? :? All the times my T43 went into Hibernation, I have never heard the fan come on while it was hibernating. There is also a very faint buzzing noise, much like a system clock oscillator, that I think can be heard when in suspend and hibernate as well.

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.
