When sending an item to IBM serivce center....

#1 Post by afd » Mon Feb 13, 2006 6:02 pm

I'm sending it in to have a problem fixed where the system board doesn't recognize the ultrabay device. Should I remove the hard drive, optical drive and battery before I send it? If they tell me to send it Solectron should I refuse?

You should remove anything that would be considered user replaceable, unless that item has something to do with the problem.

I sent in a T30 and removed the battery, harddrive, ram, etc. Excellent service, even through Solectron
