Hi,
I have problems with my t43p (every bios), and t40 with bios higher over 2.xx
When use profile in power manager (work on battery) suspend after 1 mins and hibernate after 2 min my t23 work like this:
After 1 min go to suspend
After 2 min t23 wakeup and go to hibernate
T40 with bios 2.xx work like t23
T40 with bios 3.xx and t43p work like this
After 1 min go to suspend
After 2 min I see once flash power led (and hear short start hdd) and my laptops don’t wakeup!!!
Ok theoretically not problem but… power consumption is increased to 0,3A !!!!
And battery don’t work so long… in suspend mode…
Who can help me to solve this problem?
Support ibm in Poland don’t see any problem…
Regards

Well, I am suprised that this happens on both the T43p and the T40.
I might have thought a main board problem, but it seems as if it is more likely a problem with some low-level software that interferes with certain BIOS versions. I had something similar happen with an HP and a Compaq, although I didn't have enough time, and patience, to figure out what was causing trouble with it. They both worked fine after an OS re-install.

I don't think it is a main board issue; I said I might have if it both the T43p and the T40 didn't work with any BIOS revision; the T40 works fine with a certain BIOS version, so I am betting that it might be some fragment of software that is doing that. Does your T43p have *any* BIOS version where it hibernates?
