Replace my T40 motherboard with an T41P motherboard

#1 Post by cmarti » Tue Feb 14, 2006 5:35 pm

Maybe someone has done this in the past.

I am planning to replace the motherboard of my T40 2373 75U with a T41P motherboard the new one has 128mb of video.
The part number is: 39t5495 and one more question if i am able to do it will i have to use the long fan? Will it work and won't fail with the short one?

Please instruct me...Thanks...Carlos..

It will probably work but unless you had a high res display on the T40, your screen will be limited to 1024x768

Thanks for your reply, but anyone has done this upgrade in the past?
With or without the fan replacement?
