AC issues

#1 Post by vliou » Wed Feb 15, 2006 1:33 pm

The new release gives me trouble. My wireless will be disabled every 5 minutes and then it's FN F5 to start it up again. What's wrong?

I have read several members having trouble and wound up rolling back to the previous version.

I had that problem once. It went away after not using the wireless for awhile/restarting my computer. However next time I tried it I was at college hasn't happened since.

The problem went away, using 4.11a, once I re-installed the Intel Wireless Drivers and rebooted; now it works just like 3.81 if not better. I think these problems are a futher manifestation of the issue of the Wireless radio drivers being changed somehow, resulting in an inability to turn on or use the wireless chipset.

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.

For people who are complaining about new AC4.11 switching off the Radio, go to "global settings" under AC->Configure and uncheck the enable automatic radio control option.

I also sufferd on the first day of AC4.11 on my T43, and even the above also didn't seem to help but I gave it one more day and things fell in place. I didn't even re-install the wireless driver or anything

AC4.11a is working fine in my laptop, it has FireFox support and that' great...haven't tried the new peer-to-peer thingy
