I hope I'm wrong, since you seem to have won the auction, but I don't think the video portion of the new board is compatible with your 14.1 XGA screen. I believe you'll need a Hi Res SVGA, or whatever it's called, screen. Unlike regular CRT monitors, LCD screens can't adapt to different resolutions so you'll probably get blocky DVD video among other anomalies. The extra video memory on these boards seems to be a perfect way to accelerate the video, but having tried it (on a different machine) it doesn't work. Apart from that, it should fit into your T40 chassis without a problem.

Tim,

Thanks for your reply on this.

I forgot to mention that i already buy the SXGA screen and the cable for it, 2gb ram pc2700,the long fan that is required for this motherboard.

Now do you think it will work?

Thanks...Carlos..

Yes, I believe you'll be OK with the new screen. The only other item of concern might be your old main memory chip(s), which may need to be replaced with faster ones. But if your old chip(s) fit the slot(s), you should be fine.
Please let us know how it goes.
Tim
