[help] T41 about the fan problem!

hi there. my laptop bought in OCT 2005 . yesterday i reinstalled my laptop.and then the fan are noisely. i thought maybe it is dirty.so i went to clear it.
now the problem is when i use opera/ IE online .the fan begin to hard working and still working .not stop .sense cup is very hot! need fan .but before i reinstal it wasn't like that .it would refrigerant and no like this noise.

my system is XP pro. +sp2

768M
40G


could everyone help .how do i do ? need send repair ?

Welcome to the Thinkpad Forums :)

First off, use NHC or RMColock to look at the temeperature ranges you are reaching whilst doing everyday tasks; if they are in the normal range, then it is most likely not a hardware problem. You can then use the Thinkpad Fan Control Utility (the link is in my signature) to control the fan noise. Either way, if anything unusual begins to happen, I would take you T41 in for a check up.

Mmmm, it looks like they are in a good range for a T41; the GPU is running a bit higher than the rest. Now you can throttle the fan and see how the temperatures change, also what other processes run when the fan does this? Is it really on all the time?
