Shut the Lid and Display Externally

#1 Post by haroldbingo » Fri Feb 17, 2006 10:40 pm

This is probably a very basic question, but…

I have a Thinkpad T41p. I would like to be able to close my laptop lid and display on an external monitor only. I recall that I was able to do this with my old T21.

Does anyone have any advice, or a URL, they can provide me with? It's one of those hard-to-google for items, but one that I'm sure many others have grappled with.

Thanks.

Presentation Director. If you have something a little different, you might need to download it from IBM. Either way, it's a pretty nifty utility.

And the latest version of the FN + F7 popup can launch PD under "Manage schemes...." You can specify which profiles appear on that popup screen.
2668-75U T43, 2GB RAM, 2nd hand NMB kybd, Dock II, spare Mini-Dock, and spare Port Replicators. Wacom BT tablet. Ultrabay 2nd HDD.
2672-KBU X32, 1.5GB RAM, 7200 rpm TravelStar HDD.
