Thats right folks, another case thread!
Searched the forums, found people thinking about or buying, this case:

ThinkPad Leather Ultraportable case 73P5186

But, I can't find any reviews

Anyway, if anbody has any opinions and firsthand experience, please post!

Yahdie,

I have a 14.1" T43 and the Leather Ultraportable case that you are considering buying.

My T43 fits absolutely perfectly in the computer slot and I'm left with room slightly wider to put papers folders etc. I use this case about 50% of the time. I would use it more, but it doesn't hold much else so I sometimes I'm forced to use my backpack. I should state that although I love this case, I don't like and don't use the side power supply case. I think my 72W power pack is kind of large for it and it doesn't attach very securely to the main case. This isn't a problem for me since I have an extra power supply that I leave at work; however, I can forsee it possibly being an issue for people who also carry their power supply.

I hope that this "review" is helpful. If you have specific questions, I can try to answer them also.

I have that case too (long story), but don't use it very much. I can verify however, that it does fit the T4x series and it has a lot of useful compartments. The build quality is very good, and the only gripe that I really have with it is that it is very boxy, and quite heavy and cumbersome because of the leather.

I'm currently using a fabric carry case that came with my T40 (31P7670), which is larger, but also lighter.

The weight concerned me, at 2.5lbs, that is half the weight of the ThinkPad!
Having said that, if I have understood either of you correctly, the "look" does not dissapoint!?

I'm trying to stay slim, so my choices so far are:

ThinkPad Leather Ultraportable case 73P5186
PowerSleeve XM by Booq
PowerSleeve14 by Booq (1/2" slimmer than the XM)
Small Alley by RadTech
WaterField's SleeveCase SCHF25-21SST (w/flap & strap)

So, thank you for your input, much appreciated!
Cheers

I don't even notice the weight of the case because I always use the shoulder strap. As for the "look", I think the case looks awesome, much better in person in fact than the picture on Lenovo's website.
