T41p, Mini-Dock & Line-in

Hi.
I think about buying a T41p. But I have a question and cannot find an answer on the ibm-pages.

The T41p does not have a line-in (stereo), but a mic-in (mono). If I use a mini-dock with the T41p, which supports line-in, does this grade up the mic-in to a line-in. Or is it still a mic-in?

I hope, you understand my problem.
