Bluetooth file xfer: Sending failed!

#1 Post by davidspalding » Sun Feb 26, 2006 11:45 am

After trying out the new Bluetooth with Enh. data rate software (big mistake, my BT radio wouldn't even turn on and stay on), I rolled back to Integrated Bluetooth IV software v. 3.0.1.918, rediscovered my Nokia 3650 phone, Wacom BT tablet, and all seems to be hunky dory.

Except. Sending files from the 3650 (with either the Images or FExplorer apps) connects, then immediately alerts Sending Failed! This worked fine until I tried that new BT software; used it almost daily to send images from the phone to edit in Photoshop.

I've dorked around with the properties of the My File transfer service trying combinations of Secure connection selected, deselected, pairing with the phone, unpairing, deleting the phone, rediscovering it, discovering the phone's services, yada yada yada. Other connections (dial-up networking, audio gateway, sending a file/contact/calendar item to the phone, sending a contact from the phone) work just fine. It's the darned file transfer that is failing consistently. The one I use 95% of the time. :(

Anyone else encountered this after any upgrade or uninstall+install of the integrated Bluetooth IV software?

[edit]

Updated successfully (this time ) to Bluetooth 4.0.1.3000, no change. Someone wanna tell me again why I upp'ed to the latest, greatest BT software and drivers?

... Bump.... [whimper] Unable to send via bluetooth from my Nokia to either of my T's. Phone problem, perhaps?
