T40 Will Not Resume While on AC (Mains) Power

I have a 2373 that's developed an interesting problem. It will not resume from hibernation if powered by AC. The power LED will light, as will the KB lights, but the hard drive does not spin up and the screen remains dark. If I pull the AC adapter before I press the power switch, the computer starts right up. Any ideas?

Is your laptop up to date with all the latest software? I recall there being an update a while ago regarding the Battery Maximiser or similar which fixes a couple of bugs from hibernation/resume etc.

Thanks for the reply. According to the Lenovo Software Installer I am absolutely current with all software, BIOS, etc. I'm actually thinking of rolling back to an earlier power management set.

The solution was to reinstall the IBM/Lenovo power management driver even though automatic updates indicated I was using the most current version. Problem solved.
