How many cd is the recovery cd set for t43

when you burn the cds, how many cd is it in total?
Thinkpad T60 2613-HDU
1.66 Core 2 2gb x1400-128 Fujitsu 60 14" sxga Chicony TP a/b/g BT

Thinkpad T42 2373-N1U
1.8 p-m 2gb 9600-64 Fujitsu 80 LG 15" Flexview Chicony TP a/b/g BT

Mine out of the box without any apps installed totaled to 1 cd (master boot) and 1 DVD. So I am guessing a total of 5 or 6 cds.

1 off Rescue and Recovery

5 off Product Recovery

(I think that it is a pity that you are not informed at the start when creating the discs; after all, what do you do if you only have 4 spare CD's?)

As supplied by IBM..... 1 x Boot CD and 6 x Product Recover CDs, for a total of 7 CDs.

ok so we are getting different numbers.

i had a t43 and now a t42

today i found my old t43 disc set that i made, i found 6 in total
i looked at my t42 set, it was 8 cds

i am confused

Too bad I don't have a DVD burner on my laptop, otherwise that would've saved me the pain of burning 6 CDs....

can you burn to DVDs if you have a burner?

As I recall, the first (Rescue & Recovery) has to be to CD, while the rest (Product Recovery -5 discs) can be to one DVD.

That is good to hear. I need to burn off the recovery set and I have an external DVD burner so that makes my day. Thanks
