Updated some GPRS connection software today and then on reboot the system freezes at the checking security chip stage. It just sits there and does nothing.
I can get to the recovery options using my passphrase so I don't think the chip itself is stuffed. But I can't see anyway to fix it. Anyone got a work around?
I tried disabling the password in BIOS but that just resukted in me being unable to access the recovery software. I haven't tried reformatting yet as I have some work I did late last night I'd like to back up first. I might have to get an external HDD and do a quick backup first.
