my T42 keeps crashing from bad fan/overheating

#1 Post by DeionDavid » Tue Mar 07, 2006 5:13 pm

I think it may be from my fan performing very poorly.

Does someone know how I can fix my fan? It seems to be a lot quiter than before and not blowing as hard.

I have a 2373-FVU

Thanks.

if its still under warranty, send it in. have IBM fix it and keep your warranty.

if not, take it apart and reseat the heatsink.

The link to the Forum is in my Signature

Here is the direct link to the TP FCU; see

HTH :)

You should probably clean out the fan a bit as well.

I met someone who looks a lot like you.
She does the things you do.
But she is an IBM.
