access connections can't see wireless radio?

#1 Post by FrancisB » Wed Mar 08, 2006 12:21 am

Hi,

I just bought a t43 (266875U), and am trying to get the access connections feature to work. My wireless card is 802.11a/b/g is working perfectly from windows, and I"m able to access my router.

However, Fn-F5 shows the radio power off, and I can't power it on. Access Connections doesn't recognize a radio either. So somehow I need to get the IBM utilities to be aware of the radio adapter.

Any thoughts? I've spent a fair amount of time searching, but so far, no luck.

thanks,
Francis

I upgraded all my IBM SW, (using the SW Installer tool), and my access connections now works. It was probably a driver/app incompatability issue.

Incidently, Windows manages my wireless connection, but access connection works also. It's quite slick how it automatically knows when I'm plugged into eithernet, or need to be on wireless, and switches between the two as necessary.

Regards,
Francis
