New Keyboard-hard key

hey all,

I recently got a new keyboard for the T40, except the ; and . keys seem to be very hard to press and stick a little bit. Is there an easy way to fix this and can I just pop the keys off without breaking anything?

Any tips? Stiff keys annoy the hell out of me, especially when writing in word. If I cant press the key with normal pressure, I'll end up with missing periods all over.
