how to qualify for stockholder's purchase

#1 Post by Binglehopper » Thu Jul 22, 2004 9:14 pm

hello everyone,

i own IBM stock, and am planning to buy one through the stock holders program. i was reading about the eligibility on IBM's website, and it mentioned something about a "Shareholder Offer ID."

What exactly is this? how would I go about getting one? I don't think i've ever received anything about this from IBM even though i own the stock.

thanks.

You can order by phone here: 1-800-520-7304 or by web here:

http://www-131.ibm.com/content/home/sto ... login.html

I would guess that they can give you a shareholder ID number if you call by phone. The website doesn't seem to answer the question of where to get a number.

If you already own the stock I would call
Sharholder services @ 1-888-426-6700
They should be able to help you get your acct# and or the the offer ID # you need to purchase through the SPP.

From the website :

"To verify you have the most current offer ID number (or to receive the latest), please contact Stockholders Relations at 1-888-426-6700."

When I ordered my T-40 last year, they didn't even verify that I was a stockholder ... they just gave me the number when I asked for it.
