I am planning for Thinkpad t42 2378FVU, which is priced at $1,849.00(w/o shipping + tax)* !!

I am student at University of Southern California.

So is there any chance I can get some dicount ? if yes, how much ?

Is there anyway I can skip the TAX ?

hey bill, if I bought a 2378-FVU from you, is it possible to upgrade to the 60 gb 7200 rpm drive? that's the one big thing i want to upgrade on the notebook...

You would have to contact your school's computer department to see if they have a vendor deal in place with IBM. Or, you could call IBM directly to see if they have a relationship with your school.
