If you got NAV (nortan antivirus 02 or 03) u can upgrade to 04 for free babyI loaded AVG (after suggestions of others on this board) and AVG found 18 (yea I said EIGHTEEN)
that NAV missed (I mannaged to clean ALL of them with AVG) . As a result I uninstalled NAV and now my system runs a LOT better and doesn't use as much system resources (boots faster)/ doesn't hang.
I agree, corporate editions are usually a lot better than the stuff you can get in the store (IBM laptops vs others being a good example).Nabeel wrote:I got a copy of Symantec Antivirus 9 Corporate...much better/faster/lightweight than the non-corporate editions

Outlook Express mail is supported providing you use the POP3 interface. Also from the User's Guide that comes with the download linked-to above:jsmit86 wrote:I use Outlook Express, and Lotus Notes. I believe that NAV has Notes support. My question is does it matter if the email client is supported, or will the other programs like AVG catch the viruses anyway?
Symantec offers a separate product that supports Notes mail. (I'd be very surprised if any general AV package supports Notes mail.) In practice it probably doesn't matter since there are no viruses that attack Notes directly.Unsupported email programs Norton AntiVirus does not support the following email clients:
- IMAP
- AOL
- POP3s with Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) See the online Help for more information about Secure Sockets Layer connections.
- Web-based email such as Hotmail and Yahoo!
- Lotus Notes
