Please help!!!!!

Hello,

I own thinkpad t42 and intel wireless 2200BG network card installed.

I somehow refreshed hard drive yesterday and updated every single drivers listed on "software installer".

and the problem is...

whenever I hit "Ctrl+F5" keys, small box pops up and saying

"change power settings of wireless radios.

Unable to change power state of 802.11 wireless radio.
Update driver for the wireless adapter."

and after that it only shows bluetooth radio is available.

I never had this kind of problem ever before.
Can anybody please help me to solve this out?

by the way, driver ver. is 8.0.12.20000.

Get the Software Installer and remove the Intel Wireless drivers; then install AC if you have it, then re-install it without reboot. Next, reboot the T42 without the Intel Wireless Drivers which you just uninstalled.

Upon reboot, the drivers should be re-loaded and should work fine.

The biggest problem comes from Windows trying to mess with the registry at the same time as the ThinkVantage Software Installer does. When Windows sees the Wireless Drivers removed by Software Installer, it tries to replace them and ends up with what I think are unclear and, subsequently, the hardware can do nothing due to the conflict.

You can also try a search of the forum and you will turn up the same problem and some other solutions.
