T43 slows down during file transfer

Hi everybody,

every time that I´m transfering files through my LAN, my T43 slows down extremely. I watched the processor load and its nearly 100%, so far so good, but when I watch the Network Load it is only about 30%. I'm wondering wheter its a driver problem or my T43 is simply a lowcost modell and therefore a bit slower. Transfering Data from my CD-ROM drive to the HDD causes the same trouble.
All Drivers have been updated using the IBM Update tool, and all Windows Updates are on board, too.
Beside this problem its a really great machine doing a well job!

Have you installed any additional memory, or are you just using the factory 512MB configuration that came with your 1871-4AG?

Also what is you memory utilisation at, as you hit 100% CPU when doing LAN transfers?

Hi Bill,

I'm currently using 1Gig of RAM in the primary slot, during a transfer
my "control panel" tells me:

Physical memory
total: 1038768
available: 653400
Systemcache: 539004

The Network is at about 13% while transfering 4 files over an 100Mbit Ethernet Connection simultaniously.
