a quick review of a T42 dxu

So I finally got my thinkpad yesterday wow, its the most awsome computer ever... understated...but awsome.

t42 dxu - express model ~2400

FYI:

- no dead pixels
- I am a believer in the flexview, I haven't tested out response time on games and such, but the colour and contrast are excellent. I don't care if it effects fps or fast motion, the screen is beautiful.
- battery fits fine
- keyboard...although I am pretty sure it is the china model, seems ok to me. The only thing is that the space bar makes a clicking noise when I press it on one side ... nothing a little tweaking can't fix.
- no weird noises (its really quiet!)
- this is a SOLID computer, no creaking or bending here, its solid. Palmrest is solid, screen doesn't flex. Although yes, I have to use two hands to open the thing, but hey, its a pleasure.


Wireless seems to work pretty decent on the thing too, infact when I first turned it on it automatically detected a few wireless networks and I voila I was online... that is until the guy whomever was hosting decided to turn on his firewall. hehehe oh well.

Anyway, this baby is rocking my world.
