Does it work well? Do you have the 2010 errors I'm reading about with t43 users?

I have 7K100s in both of my T41p's.

There was absolutely no problem installing and cloning them from my previous 7K60s.

Yes, I know the question was IRT the T42, but the T41/T42 are basically the same machine.

May we presume you are talking about the Hitachi 7K100 (not the 5K100)...

The T42s (2373-K5H) that I have came with 5K40, and i've successfully upgraded to both Hitachi 7K100 and 7K60... just pop in the new HDD, and boot from the 7 Product Recovery CD's...

***Just remember to ask your T42 to make the 7 Product Recovery CD's first... it's the first model that can burn its own PR CD's...
