T43 screen shakes/freezes while shutting off on battery...

#1 Post by rcrooks » Mon Mar 20, 2006 11:12 pm

Well, the topic is pretty self explanatory... I also have it undervolted, but have tested out all voltages extensively with prime 95 with no errors. Is this an error with voltage being too low, graphics being underclocked too far, or something else? It happens about 1/3 times I shut the computer down while on battery.

Baffles me too.

Happened to my T30 and T43p while undocking and unplugging out and in the power cord. Had to switch off the units completely as mouse cannot respond, keyboard freeze, blurred vision.. After reboot, does not tell that the windows has recovered from an error, strange..

Anyone out there has an explaination for this? Any help is appreciated.

Just curious, do you underclock or undervolt your laptop at all?? That was what I assumed was causing mine.

Nope, didn't do anything like that. Used the original IBM power adapters. Also had NHC installed. Happens before and after NHC installation, so the NHC is not suspect.
