Easy step by step Bluetooth addition

#1 Post by bilalmuddassir » Wed Mar 22, 2006 7:19 pm

Okay what is an easy step by step way to add Bluetooh internal (not any dongle in the USB port) support to a T42 that doesn't have it. I would prefer not to talk to someone on phone. Can I do it on my own through Ebay or IBM Web site? Before I order anything what information do I need? Does this involve addition or replacement of a component?

Alright I talked with the IBM guy and he made me install the BT software (number MIGR-55386)

And when I go into Control Panel and double click BT configuration icon I get a message.

No Bluetooth devices found.

You will get this message if you have an Bluetooth adapter installed but it is not powered on! Have you tried pressing Fn+F5 to see if you have a Bluetooth adapter installed, and it is powered on?

Cheers,

Bill

I do not see Bluetooth listed when I press FN+F5 - all I see is 802.11 listed there.

What is the part number of FRU 91P7319 because without that I think I cannot order the bluetooth+modem card from Lenovo site?
