IBM BIOS Setup Utility

#1 Post by akhavan » Sun Jul 25, 2004 2:13 am

Hi,

I have a T41P. In IBM BIOS Setup Utility under "Power" > "CDROM Speed" I have a choice of "High" "Normal" and "Low". (I have mine on "High")

What is the difference between the "High" and "Normal" ? Because I do not see any difference between them when I use my Multi-Burner and CD-RW\DVD using RecordNow Deluxe. Should there be any difference in the burning speed ?

Also, if possible please write your settings in "Power" in the IBM BIOS Setup Utility.

Thanks
Sepehr

High:
Can be noisy and vibrate alot when in use but fastest rips and installs etc.

Normal:
a little noise and slight vibration at times, fast enough bust slower than high.

Quiet:
Virtually no sound or vibration but slow on rips and installs etc etc..

Thanks,

Is it dangerous ( damage to CD/DVD burner) to have it on High?
