thinkpad easy serv warranty- what is it?

If you need to have the notebook repaired through warrany then you call them up and they will send you a box and you mail it off to the service center they fix it and mail it back.
Or if you live close to a authorized service center you can take it there and have reairs done. So far thats the way I have done it.

Yes, that's the normal warranty, depending on the warranty period and type.

A few minor corrections. They send an Airborne Express box and it's picked up by them when ready and returned the same way at no cost to the user. Repairs are usually completed and the unit returned within 48 hours or less on average.

If you have an on-site warranty, then someone will show up at your door the next business day after you notify IBM of a problem and repair the unit.
