#1 Post by rpaturi » Wed Mar 29, 2006 12:54 pm

Why ? I changed the power config to Max Performance .. (I haven't rebooted though) are there any other settings to make sure that the machine running at high performance. On power cord performance is excellend .. thanks for your help.

i use the battery maximizer wizard to set my own profiles - I haven't noticed any difference when running on batteries vs. AC. I assume that your max performance profile has long number for turning off the hard drive and that the cpu is set to max?

I think that there's also a bios option that you can set - though I've been happy with just the wizard.

As an aside, another tip is to make sure that you configure the LCD property of the Thinkpad configurations utility so that the screen will be the same brightness on battery as AC.

Thank you - I found the culprit when I went to thinkpad config / (Acces Thinkpad) I disabled graphics managemnet on battery and now it looks good. I suspect some how graphics system is slowing down (including refresh) gave me inpression that its slow....
