Can I upgrade ATI 9000 32MB chp to more video RAM?

#1 Post by Delmarco » Thu Mar 30, 2006 7:51 pm

Can I somehow upgrade my video RAM. I'm about to upgrade my OS to Windows Vista beta 2 and I was told I need more than 32 MB of video RAM.

Can I upgrade to 128MB or more for my notebook?

I read somewhere here that you can solder a new RAM chip onto the motherboard...?
What methods would work if the upgrade is possible?

hey buddy. I was looking for you.
I sent you a PM about it.

Oh, Windows Vista Beta 2 is on eBay already. Someone at my job bought it for $100.00 and he already installed it on one of our lab computers. It looks amazing. I was going to install it onto my Thinkpad on a 2nd partition, after I get the 100GB harddrive.

But the Vista is running everything in 3D windows and I need at least 128 MB of vid ram to run it fully.
